China Retail BusinessSales from our China Retail business were RMB153,679 million (US$23,552 million) for the quarter ended December 31, 2020, up 39% from RMB110,458 million for the same quarter in 2019, up 20% year-on-year % up, primarily due to robust revenue growth from new monetization formats such as recommendation feeds, an increase in average unit price per click in search monetization, as well as the 19% year-over-year growth in GMV for physical online goods from Tmall, excluding unpaid orders. “Other” retail sales in China were 51,760 million in the comparable quarter of 2019. The increase was mainly driven by the consolidation of Sun Art as well as the contributions from our direct selling businesses, including Tmall Supermarket and Freshippo.
