Am 7. Juni 2021 um 19 watch gab Apple den Startschuss für seine alljährliche WWDC. Für den Kulthersteller zählt die "Worldwide Developer Conference" zu den wichtigsten Veranstaltungen des Jahres. Denn anders als der Name vermuten lässt, kommen hier nicht nur Technikfans und Pergrammierer auf ihre Kosten. Vielmehr gibt Apple bei der Veranstaltung die Richtung vor, in der sich das Unternehmen in diesem und den nächsten Jahren entwickelt. COMPUTER BILD stellt alle Neuheiten vor.

iOS 15: FaceTime and SharePlay

iOS 15: News and notifications

Ipados 15: homescreen, multitasking, notes

AirPods Per und Max: Neue Funktionen
Mit der Funktion "Conversation Boost" macht Apple die AirPods Per und Max quasi zu Hörgeräten. Zudem wird Siri nützlicher: Die persönliche Assistentin kann nun alle Arten von Benachrichtungen und nicht mehr nur eingehende SMS und iMessages vorlesen. Zum Schluss hat Apple noch eine Funktion zum Geldsparen eingebaut: Schusselige Nutzer, die ihre 600-Euro-Kopfhörer verlieren, können ihre AirPods Per und Max nun wie ein AirTag über das "Wo ist?"-Netzwerk wiederfinden.
Watchos 8: Update for the Apple Watch
Die kommende Firmware-Version watchOS 8 bringt der Apple Watch wieder neue Apps, darunter die Kontakte- und die Tipps-App vom iPhone. Die frische Anwendung "Mindfulness" vereint die Funktionen der Atmen-App, geht aber noch einen Schritt weiter: Sie macht beispielsweise gezielt Vorschläge für eine Meditation und zeigt neue Animationen an. Die Schlaf-App erfasst nun auch die Atemfrequenz. Nutzer dürfen sich außerdem über neue Workout-Modi für Pilates und Tai-Chi freuen. Für den US-Abodienst Fitness Plus gibt es neue Workouts, darunter HIIT-Trainings von Jeanette Jenkins. Ein neues Fotos-Watch-Face lässt Bilder interaktiver wirken – die watchzeit scheint dabei mitten im Foto zu stehen. Wer an der Krone dreht, zoomt in ein Foto hinein. Die Fotos-App bekommt ebenfalls neue Funktionen, unter anderem lassen sich Bilder direkt aus der App heraus in einer Nachricht versenden, wie auch Musik. Innerhalb von Nachrichten schicken Nutzer jetzt auch GIFs.
Macos Monterey: News for the Mac
The fresh operating system version MacOS Monterey contains new feed for Macs and MacBooks. If you bring your iPad near your MacBook, you can easily control the tablet with the keyboard and the touchpad of the notebook-thanks to the new "Universal Control" function. The same works for two Macs. In addition, documents can be easily moved from macOS to iPados. Impressive: In the demo, software boss Craig Federighi pulled a file from an iPad via an iMac on an iMac. WWDC 2021: More privacy
Links in emails make it possible to access the course of the browser and other information. If you do not want to disclose your complete network life, you can now deactivate tracking in the email app. It also hides the location and the IP address so that no conclusions are possible. The same applies to the Safari browser. Here users also decide which information a website should receive. Siri also takes another step towards privacy: she now processes all language input directly on the device and therefore no longer requires Internet access. A plus: the assistant is much faster. The iCloud also benefits from the new privacy steps: from now on, confidants can be named. These get a code if the password has been lost or another reason prevents login. In the event of death, previously named persons receive access to the data in the iCloud. There is additional options with an iCloud+subscription.
WWDC: When will the innovations come?
First beta versions of iOS 15, Ipados 15, Watchos 8 and MacOS Monterey are now available for developers.Brave private users can install the open beta on their device from July 2021.The finished operating systems for the iPhone, iPad, the Apple Watch and Macs then appear in autumn as usual.
