Benedikt Kulmann uses the example of the web front end for the file sharing platform ownCloud to explain how an existing web application can be modified to make it (more) barrier-free. Manuel Mauky, on the other hand, shows how to build a library with reusable, accessible components using Web Components.

When developing accessible products, one key user group is often left out: the editorial team. The tools you use, the content management system, must also ensure that you can create accessible content. In their presentation, Annett Farnetani and Katrin Kampfrath look at the tricky points between content and code.

Three days of offset

All of these lectures will take place on the first day of c't

instead of the "accessibility tag". In the same way, the lectures on the second and third day of the conference revolve around the topics of performance and testing. The provisional program can be found on the conference homepage.

The three days of the online conference will not take place in one go, but with a one-week offset on November 23rd and 30th. and 7.12. In this way, we hope, the workload will be more digestible than en bloc and participants can better integrate the conference into their workflows.
