Add widget to home screen
Apple offers widgets for many of its own apps and many other app developers already provide widgets for their apps.To add them to the homescreen, proceed as follows:
Press for a long time on a vacancy in the homescreen until the app symbols start shaking ("Jiggle-Mode").
Type on the plus sign on the upper left edge.
Select the desired widget.
Choose design and size of the widget by wiping to the right or left.
Tap on "Add widget".
Pull the widget to the desired area on the home screen.
Tap the display to end the "Jiggle Mode".
If you want to move the widget afterwards, tap the widget until it wobbles.Then you can move it.For some widgets, you can also make further settings on the content that should be displayed.

Widget stack and smart stack
In addition to individual widgets, you can also put widget stacks on the home screen.To do this, simply pull a widget on another.Important: Both widgets must be the same size.In this way you can stack up to ten widgets.Through the individual widgets you leaf through wiping up and down.
You can change the order of the stacked widgets via "Edit stack" (hold on the three lines and pull) or delete widgets from the stack (wipe left).
The smart stack is a special form of the widget stack.Depending on the location and time of day, this shows the widget first that the user wants to use most likely in the respective situation.
Apple offers an already prefabricated smart stack for the widgets.However, you can transform each of your own widget stack into a smart stack by activating the switch for "intelligent order" under "Edit stack".

Which widgets you can use on the homescreen and what it looks like first depends on what Apple and various app developers make available.But there are also ways to design widgets yourself.There are some apps available in the App Store that specialize in widgets and offer opportunities for individualization.
