File hosting? No idea what you mean.Yes I can download YouTube videos. As I said, both with a download station and with JDownloader...To the JDownloader installation process:
You don't necessarily have to create the download folder, you have to release the JDownloader any folder on the server in which he should save the downloaded.
You have to install Java because
J
Downloader is programmed in Java and therefore independent of platform, as long as this Java supports...
You have to create an account because the JDownloader on the DS does not have a user interface, but is called up by browser. That only works with a account via myjdownloader. The advantage, however, is that you can access your JDownloader from anytime time in the world without having to free your server and you can use several JDownlaoder in parallel
You don't need an app for the smartphone/add-on for the browser! Is a helpful gimmick, but not absolutely necessary. The browser plug-in enables you to have a symbol in the toolbar in the browser, with which you can log in directly into myjdownloader and bring it directly to your server. You can also select "Download with JDownloader" directly in the context menu.(This works on YouTube [for me] by making a double calculation click into the video [first the YT context menu and that the browser owner] and then select download.) Usually you would just copy the address line and enter this in the JDownloader/download station, Bla Bla, know that yes.
Also huge advantage of the JDownloader in contrast to the download station (I haven't used it for a long time, maybe this can do that too):
You can choose the available format of the video and the sound when downloading videos, you can only charge the soundtrack...
Archives can be unpacked directly
What I want to say: Give it a try, the effort is manageable and if you don't like it you can throw it down again...-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit:
Now I know what you mean by data hosting, in the settings of the download station under file hosting is also not a YouTube in it, I can still download. However, Hosting tells me that it is made available for the upload (or someone else to download).Do I stand on the SCLAUCH, or can the D-Station also upload? Would you like to upload videos about YouTube or download from YouTube?

Edit 2:
Ok, after a long research I have it in the Kopp: The point "File hosting" in the settings of the download station is for inserting configuration files for download/content providers. They are in *.Host files saved. You would need NE *.Host file for YouTube.I don't have this file either and the download from YT works for me.Although sluggishly lame, but goes.It can also be that it can no longer be done with a newer version, I just got it as well as the old version.I always like to wait with updates because bad experience...Everything is too complicated for me, I stay with the JDownloader, which eats almost everything and is updated regularly by the provider.
