Hello minime,
Thanks for your feedback. We get the ceiling lamps with Ambilight Farbring shortly before Christmas.Unfortunately, we had to struggle with two difficult situations this year: on the one hand, 5 times the shipping costs plus delays of over a month and on the other hand the adaptation of the energetic. The lamps should actually be shipped in June, but no freight forwarder could assure us due to the massive delays that the goods before the 31.08 goes through customs. If the goods had not yet been decorated at this point, we would have had to either scrap all the ceiling lights or send it back to China. That is why we have to wait for certification with the new energy label and the correspondingly adapted packaging. These have been finished this month and the ship will appear on 24.10 his journey. The reason why not all products are offered as an EU version has to do with the costs.CE certification is very expensive, the import due to the shipping costs is particularly absurd, but also very cost-intensive (tariffs, environmental taxes, taxes, etc..))).And in addition to the CE, the products must also be checked and registered for the new energy label. Apart from the EU regulations, there are also a lot of local guidelines regarding.the import and distribution of electrical appliances that differ from country to country. Here, too, the local -specific requirements must be observed and met.The financial and of course time-consuming for each EU version is immense. This is not possible for all products because it simply does not pay off - and is guaranteed not to do it with trying to annoy European customers 😉 The ceiling fan is the best example of this: The demand for fans is like this in Europemuch lower than in Asia that the costs are not in relation to the expected sales. At least not to the RRP, which all the cross-border platforms specify with their offers. This also always has to be taken into account, since unfortunately it cannot be prevented that the whole dealer such as Gearbest, Banggood, Tomtop, Aliexpress etc.Offer the China versions online at prices that cannot keep up with a legally imported EU version...It's really a shame - we would like to offer an even bigger range. As for the Xiaomi Home app: this is not our decision.Yeelight and Xiaomi are two independent companies that each develop and operate their own app - even if you register with the same account, since both companies use the same cloud server.Xiaomi has determined for your own app that you can only add products there via the EU server that Xiaomi itself also sells in the EU, i.e. all of your EU versions. This is to prevent exactly that China versions are sold to the EU that have no business because they are not prepared/geared towards the technical and legal requirements of the target market. If Xiaomi only sells China versions from a Yeelight products, you can only add it to the app via the server in China. This is a decision that the Xiaomi company has made and that is not in our hands. We hope that some of the points mentioned here have become a little clearer. And we will continue to make our way to make the user experience for our customers as positive as possible. And we ask for your understanding for all things that are not yet optimal. We stay tuned!
Many greetings, Yeelight Germany Team
